Marcus Rashford has 'had issues' with every Man Utd boss and not just Ruben Amorim

Marcus Rashford's future at Manchester United is shrouded in uncertainty, with the 27-year-old having been left out of the last four match-day squads - including the derby day victory over Manchester City, a bold decision by new manager Ruben Amorim that ultimately paid off.

However, United have since suffered three consecutive losses, including a 4-3 defeat to Spurs in the Carabao Cup and losses to Bournemouth and Wolves. While Rashford is reportedly open to a 'new challenge', it remains to be seen whether he will remain at Old Trafford beyond the January transfer window.

And Andy Mitten, editor of 'United We Stand', has told talkSPORT that Rashford has had disagreements with every previous manager at the club, including Louis van Gaal, Jose Mourinho, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, Ralf Rangnick and Erik ten Hag.

"Every previous manager has had issues with Marcus Rashford. I've spoken to them, I know them. They've told me in confidence going back years and years and years.

"And then, Marcus confounds those opinions because he has a really good season. From his perspective - and he does have a perspective here - there's not a lot of support for him I've got to say among Manchester United fans."

He added: "They played at Wolves a couple of days ago, it was thoroughly miserable there but if I go back to Wolves at the start of February, I was outside that away end and couldn't find a single Manchester United fan that wanted him to stay.

"When he scored after three or four minutes, those very same fans were singing Marcus Rashford's name."

Rashford signed a lucrative contract in 2023 following his successful 30-goal campaign under Ten Hag in the 2022/23 season. However, the high cost of this contract, combined with a potential transfer fee, has cast doubt on his future at the club.

"The reality, the economics of it, they just do not add up. I don't know what the outcome is going to be, he signed a huge contract and a lot of them have signed huge contracts."
