BBC's Gone Christmas Fishing fans 'so happy' as 'star of the show' returns
Fans of BBC's Mortimer and Whitehouse Gone Christmas Fishing were thrilled when the duo's trusty canine companion Ted appeared hailing him the "star of the show".
The episode saw the team decamp to France to experience the fishing there leading to many hilarious moments as Bob struggled with the language. But it was Ted who really grabbed everyone's attention.
Viewers took to X to share their love for the adorable Patterdale Terrier who has been a fixture on the show since season three. The pooch showed up as Bob and Paul awarded the Gone Fishing Employee of the Year award.
Dressed in a cute doggy tuxedo Ted looked to be a shoe in to win at the ceremony. Although he lost out to Paul he seemed rather non plussed by the whole thing.
"Ted! The star of the show has arrived! #GoneFishing," one exclaimed. "So happy Ted turned up #GoneFishing," another enthused.
