The complete return of the Nike Kobe franchise seems inevitable at this point. One after another, Nike Basketball has been revisiting the line's classic silhouettes and colorways for the past few years since reigniting the partnership.

With the Kobe 9 Elite Protro having recently returned, a new report from sneaker insiders zSneakerHeadz and Sneaker Files indicates that the Kobe 3 Protro is the next design to be brought back. The unique shoe is now said to be dropping as part of the brand's ongoing "Halo" series of all-white colorways, with it donning three layers of "White" per the early intel. While we don't have a first look at the sneaker just yet, the mock-up pictured above is likely to accurately represent the design.

At the time of writing, Nike Basketball has not yet indicated that the Kobe 3 Protro will be returning in 2025 and the brand has yet to detail its future plans for the ongoing "Halo" series of colorways. Stay tuned for updates, including a first look at this rumored pair, as we currently expect it to drop on August 23, 2025 -- the late Kobe Bryant's birthday -- via Nike SNKRS and select retailers at a starting price of $240 USD.
