I'm A Celebrity sparks 'fix' row after ITV show 'winner' revealed

I'm A Celeb: Danny has a shower

I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! sparked controversy this week after the show was caught up in a fix row, as fans claimed the ITV show had picked a winner.

It comes after the campmates faced the Fright Bus challenge on Tuesday night (November 26). After the celebrities were covered with creepy crawlies, they were tasked with collecting coins in exchange for a luxury item.

The show stars' prizes varied, from Dean McCullough receiving a glitzy dress to Maura Higgins receiving an apple on her birthday.

However, it was singer Danny Jones being reunited with his guitar, which featured drawings from his young son on the instrument, that raised eyebrows with viewers as some suggested the McFly bandmate was favoured by show bosses.

One disgruntled X user tweeted: "Why did all the other campmates get bits of random rubbish but Danny got a guitar with his sons writing on it seems a bit unfair if you ask me."

A second wrote: "So Maura got an apple and Danny got a guitar? Favouritism right there."

A third suggested, "Oh, Danny is definitely going to win. They’ve given him the guitar, and everyone else has weird clothes."

It is not just ITV viewers who are convinced he will go on to win the show; Danny's mother, Kathy, predicted the star would be crowned King Of The Jungle.

The families of the celebrities arrived in Brisbane on Tuesday ahead of the evictions coming up.

She told the Mirror: "I was laughing watching him with the snake down his trousers and then the next day I was crying.

"It got me a bit. I am so proud of him... I think he could win, and do it for the North."

Meanwhile, Danny has surged in popularity, with bookmakers suggesting the singer will win the show.

The 38-year-old, who entered the show as the favourite, is once again tipped to win the reality TV show with odds of 10/3 after impressing viewers at home.

Rev Richard Coles is the latest name to be among the frontrunners as the second favourite, at 10/3, pushing Maura Higgins (9/1) and Coleen Rooney (16/1) out in the process.

Coral’s John Hill said: "The Reverend Richard Coles has been the most popular selection in our I'm A Celeb betting over the last 48 hours.

"Viewers are clearly warming to him, and if the support continues, he may dislodge Danny Jones at the top of the outright market."

I'm A Celebrity continues tonight on ITV at 9pm
