nanamica Introduces Thermoregulating KODENSHI Wool Sweater and Vest

As a part of nanamica's FW24 roll-out, the Japanese fashion label has introduced a two-piece collection that uses an innovative fabric application to help wearers maintain comfortable temperatures across fluctuating environments. The KODENSHI® Wool Sweater and Vest may blend in easily with nanamica's refined assortment of daily garments, but its multi-faceted fibers pack a tech-forward punch.

nanamica emphasizes that rather than simply storing heat like other thermals on the market, its new fabric actively regulates temperatures so wearers can stay cool when they enter indoor settings or make contact with direct sun. KODENSHI®, a proprietary Japanese textile often used in outdoor settings, absorbs and stores far infrared energy that radiates from the human body and then re-emits the energy back to the body.

While the fiber is typically applied in synthetic outdoor textiles, nanamica unconventionally blended KODENSHI® with natural fibers to develop a comfort-centric collection. Preserving the soft hand of a typical knitted sweater, supple Shetland wool makes up the outer yarn, while inner yarns made of KODENSHI® cotton rayon give the gentle feel of cotton knit. Using classic knitted sweater styles for the designs, the brand incorporates the technology seamlessly into its FW24 assortment with otherwise unsuspecting garments.

The Sweater, offered at $490 USD and the Vest, offered at $460 USD, can be found in a trio of elegant colors including Navy, Ecru and Mocha.

The KODENSHI® Sweater and Vest are available now at the official nanamica web store.
