Christopher Ward Introduces the C1 Moonphase in a 37mm
One year after Christopher Ward unveiled its first moonphase model into its C1 collection, the brand is ready to expand on the C1 Moonphase with a new size variant. Now arriving in a smaller and much more compact 37mm case diameter, the timepiece faithfully translates the proportions and decorations from its larger counterpart.
Featuring a captivating watch face crafted from aventurine glass, the dial is implemented with reflective copper oxide flakes to mimic a starlit sky. Each unique aventurine dial creates its own cosmos within a minimalist design, free from indexes or logos, focusing attention on the oversized moon display and polished dauphine handset. This is paired with domed box sapphire crystals with anti-reflective coating for enhanced legibility, allowing the dial and moon display to shine.
On a technical note, the timepiece is driven by Sellita SW220-1 caliber with a JJ04 module, offering precision moonphase complication that tracks the lunar cycle for 128 years. The “moons" made from Globolight™ emit a white glow, ensuring visibility in the dark.
The watch is paired with a versatile yet sophisticated Consort™ bracelet, which comes with a micro-adjust clasp as fastening. Alternatively, a fine Italian leather strap with an updated Bader buckle and quick-release system offers a lighter option, ensuring comfort and ease of use.
Prices range from $2,325 - $2,515 USD, the 37mm C1 Moonphase is now available via Christopher Ward’s official website.
