BBC Strictly star Tasha Ghouri details unique advantage days before Blackpool performance

Strictly: Tasha says Blackpool venue could be an advantage

Strictly Come Dancing's Tasha Ghouri has recently shared insights on how the buzzing atmosphere of Blackpool could play to her advantage in the upcoming weekend performances.

While appearing on It Takes Two, BBC host Fleur East quizzed Tasha on whether the lively vibe of the renowned ballroom would affect her ability to perceive the music with her implant.

The dancing sensation admitted: "Definitely because in the studio it's soundproof, it's so intimate, it's small. So, in the Tower Ballroom, it's going to be a whole different sound."

She further voiced concerns about adapting to the expansive space: "It's going to be echoey, so it's going to be something that I need to get used to. I don't have much time to get used to it either. So, it's going to be a situation where on the day, in rehearsals, we'll see how it goes."

Despite the challenges, Tasha revealed that the larger venue might actually turn into a plus, as she said: "It is definitely going to be more echoey, but the advantage is I will feel it more in my body because it's much more vibration. More of that runs through my body, so if anything, it could actually be more of an advantage."

Her partner Aljaz Skorjanec shared in the optimism with evident delight as he responded with a high five, exclaiming: "I didn't know, get in!"

When talking about their Paso Doble set for Blackpool, Aljaz could hardly contain his eagerness, reports the Mirror.

He divulged to Fleur that he's thrown every iconic element into their act, with the addition of extra dancers, after years of eager anticipation to perform such a routine in the legendary setting.

Aljaz gushed with excitement, commenting: "I am ecstatic, honestly; all I can say is Orale!"

The dynamic pair now find themselves at the top of the leaderboard, having amassed a grand total of 37 points. Y

Yet they were not alone in basking in accolades; JB Gill paired with Lauren Oakley have also dazzled the judges, securing an identical score for their performance.

This notable achievement marks JB's third stint at the pinnacle of the leaderboard, succeeding the departure of his original dance partner Amy Dowden.

In light of her absence, a Strictly Come Dancing representative has commented: "Sadly, Amy Dowden MBE will not be partaking in the rest of the competition this year.

"Whilst Amy focuses on her recovery following a foot injury, fellow Professional Dancer, Lauren Oakley, will step in as JB's dance partner. The health and wellbeing of everyone involved in Strictly are always the utmost priority. The whole Strictly family sends Amy love and well wishes."

The drama of last weekend remains fresh as we witnessed Shayne Ward and Nancy Xu make their departure, ousted by head judge Shirley Ballas who favoured Wynne Evans in the gripping dance-off.

It Takes Two continues weekdays on BBC Two from 6:30pm
