As she explained back in February, it works to “support all women, girls and people seeking reproductive health freedom” and will “directly support community based non-profits that champion things like girlsâ education, support reproductive rights, and prevent gender-based violence.â
Ahead of the election, Rodrigo had endorsed Trumpâs rival Kamala Harris, based on her stance on reproductive rights.
Following Trump’s victory at the US election, his team posted a video on TikTok with the caption: âAnd suddenly the words âIâm the President-Electâ came out of my mouth…â, which was soundtracked by Rodrigoâs 2021 track ‘deja vu’ – a nod to his second term in office.
Rodrigo later commented: âEw donât use my sound ever again ty,” although it has since been deleted. The song has also been removed from the video, which appears to have been done at Rodrigoâs request as the copyright holder. Team Trump’s video remains up without the sound.
After Donald Trumpâs TikTok profile used Olivia Rodrigoâs song âdeja vuâ, the singer reacted by taking down the track, stating:

Over the course of her career, Rodrigo has been a staunch supporter of reproductive rights, with the singer saying she was âheartbrokenâ over the Supreme Courtâs decision to overturn Roe v Wade back in 2022.
âOur bodies should never be in the hands of politicians. I hope we can raise our voices to protect our right, to have a safe abortion, which is a right that so many people before us have worked so hard to get.â
Since Trump’s win, many pop stars have expressed their concern over his stance on abortion. Billie Eilish warned fans that the president-elect was âsomeone who hates womenâ at a recent concert in Nashville, Tennessee, and previously said: âItâs a war on women.”
Elsewhere, both Ariana Grande and Selena Gomez have offered their fans comfort following his re-election, with the Wicked star writing: âholding the hand of every person who is feeling the immeasurable heaviness of this outcome today.” Gomez also wrote in an Instagram story: âMy heart is heavy today.â
