Kate Middleton to Attend Remembrance Day Events, Queen Camilla Unconfirmed
will continue her return to royal duties by honoring U.K. veterans.
Buckingham Palace announced that the Princess of Wales, 42, will join her husband, , and other members of the royal family at multiple Remembrance Day events, per multiple outlets. She will attend the Festival of Remembrance at Royal Albert Hall on Saturday, November 9, followed by an appearance at The Cenotaph war memorial in London on Sunday, November 10.
Held on the second Sunday of November, Remembrance Day honors U.K. servicemen and women who died in conflict. Per the royal family’s website, The Cenotaph ceremony marks “the focal point of the nation’s homage” and will see the royals “unite with others in thousands of similar ceremonies across the UK and worldwide in holding two minutes of silence at 11 a.m.”
In addition to Kate and William, 42, other royal family members reported to participate in the weekend’s events include , and her husband, , and his wife, , the Duke and Duchess of Gloucester and the Duke of Kent.

“Her Majesty The Queen is currently unwell with a chest infection, for which her doctors have advised a short period of rest,” a Buckingham Palace spokesperson confirmed in a Tuesday, November 5, statement to the BBC. “With great regret, Her Majesty has therefore had to withdraw from her engagements for this week, but she very much hopes to be recovered in time to attend this weekend’s Remembrance events as normal.”

Kate revealed in March that she was diagnosed with an unspecified form of cancer and later made her first official appearance amid her health battle at this year’s Trooping the Colour ceremony in June.
