BBC Strictly's Amy Dowden issues emotional JB Gill statement before he dances without her
Amy Dowden has sent a heartfelt message of support to her Strictly Come Dancing partner JB Gill and his stand-in partner Lauren Oakley, as he prepares to dance without her.
Amy wrote: "Wishing these two the absolute best of luck tonight! I'm going to be your biggest cheerleader! ,".
She added to JB: "JB, it says everything how you've been able to adapt to a new professional, produce such a great number ( so excited for everyone to see) whilst supporting me! I'm so lucky! You're a STAR! I know what tonight means to you! Thank you! ".
Amy also addressed Lauren as she said: "Thank you, I knew Jay would be in safe hands and have a fabulous time with you! You know I've always adored your dancing since I ran up to you in Blackpool tower at 8 years old to tell you! Thank you darling! ".

The much-adored Strictly Come Dancing professional Amy Dowden had to sit out of Sunday's results show after being rushed to Barnet Hospital from Elstree Studios as a "precaution" when she started "feeling unwell".

"I'm feeling so much better and I'd just like to thank everyone for all the love and support I've received and to my Strictly family feeling much better," conveyed Amy to BBC Two host Janette Manrara. Gill and Oakley are poised to bring a dynamic couple's choice to life in the upcoming Bruno Mars-themed show on Saturday.
She continued: "I'm just so proud and so grateful for Lauren. They've worked so hard, and JB's just been so supportive of me and just knuckled down."

She revealed that JB and Oakley have been tirelessly updating her with "videos and messages" in their WhatsApp group aptly named "Team" marked with a star emoji. Janette Manrara, the show's host, expressed delight at seeing Amy in good health.
A BBC representative voiced optimism earlier: "We are all hopeful that Amy will be back to dance with JB next week."
After her valiant battle against breast cancer, involving a mastectomy and chemotherapy, Amy made a triumphant return to the Strictly dance floor this year.
The brave Strictly star Amy Dowden has been candid about her recent health scare, finding a lump in her breast during her honeymoon with fellow dancer Ben Jones. Diagnosed with stage three breast cancer, Dowden has been through treatment and joyfully shared in February that she now shows "no evidence of disease".
