Amanda Owen's life from Our Yorkshire Farm, romance after divorce and rising net worth

Amanda Owen on how 'Our Yorkshire Farm' affects her kids

The beloved  Channel 5 series Our Yorkshire Farm, which first hit screens in November 2018, quickly won over audiences. It followed the lives of Amanda Owen, her then-spouse Clive, and their brood as they navigated life on a secluded sheep farm in Yorkshire.

In no time at all, it became one of the channel's most viewed shows, racking up an impressive 15 million viewers across five seasons. Amanda, also known as the Yorkshire Shepherdess, became a fan favourite, with devotees eagerly following her on social media to see what she got up to once the camera's stopped rolling.

However, the programme came to an end in 2022, amidst the couple's split after 22 years of marriage. Now, six years post Amanda's television debut, the 50-year-old is gracing TV screens once more with her family.

Our Farm Next Door: Amanda, Clive, and Kids sees the family embarking on a project to refurbish a run-down farmhouse in the scenic Yorkshire Dales. The 10-part series, airing on Channel 4's More 4, has delighted fans who are thrilled to see the Owen family back on the small screen.

As the new series premieres this month, let's delve into the life of the Yorkshire Shepherdess, six years after her initial TV appearance.

Entertainment Daily reports that Amanda's net worth is estimated to be over £1 million, with annual earnings around £250,000. Despite parting ways with husband Clive, whom she met when she was just 21, Amanda continues to oversee operations at Ravenseat Farm.

Speaking to The Telegraph about the logistical challenges of working with her ex, Amanda revealed last year: "Sometimes I'm there, sometimes he's there, sometimes he's working away, sometimes I'm working away. We just have to make it fit. There's enough room, believe me."

Amanda and Clive left fans stunned in 2022 when they announced their separation after 22 years of marriage a move that Amanda described as a "release of pressure."

The couple first crossed paths in 1996, with Amanda then a trainee shepherdess on Clive's farm. They exchanged vows in 2000 and went on to raise nine children together.

Following the split, Amanda entered into a romance with businessman Robert Davies, who initially joined their circle professionally as a website designer for Amanda's brand, reports Edinburgh Live.

Discussing her unexpected romance post-divorce, she told the Daily Mail: "I never set out looking for another relationship. Rob [Davies] was a friend that Clive and I had both known for a long time.

"He put together the farm website and the digital aspect of the business, everything that we couldn't do. What he offered was conversation rather than confrontation, and Clive knew about it from the very beginning – he actually suggested Rob and I would be a good match."

Admitting her personal life wasn't hidden, Amanda pointed out that all parties involved, including her children, were aware. She shared that at the time, Clive had also begun a new relationship. Regrettably, she noted that she and Rob no longer communicate.

She added: "Rob and I were both shattered by the way the media pursued us and reported it and as a result, Rob and I are no longer together or in touch."

In terms of her career, Amanda has showcased her culinary skills over time, guest-starring as a chef at renowned events like the Latitude Festival.

Amanda's ascent to fame kicked off in 2018 and since then she has authored numerous books sharing her journey and adventures in motherhood with her nine children, according to the Express.

It seems as though the apple doesn't fall far from the tree as her youngest kids, Annas, Nancy, and Clemmy, took centre stage on the Sky Kids' programme Pooch Mooch, which debuted last year.

Her son Reuben isn't far behind when it comes to seizing the limelight, with his own show on Channel 5 titled Reuben Owen: Life In The Dales. The six-part docu-series followed his venture into expanding a new heavy plant machinery business with a little help from his mates.

Even though Our Yorkshire Farm may have wrapped up, Amanda remains committed to keeping her fans clued in via her Instagram updates, sharing snapshots of farm life and her children's contributions.

Highlighting a cozy family moment in one of her recent Instagram posts, Amanda posted a snapshot featuring some of her brood and Clive cozied up in the living room by a warm fire, engaged in knitting, while tuning in to their latest television series.

Our Farm Next Door: Amanda, Clive and Kids is available to watch on All4.
