Anita Dobson tearful as she gives emotional Brian May update after health scare
Anita Dobson was visibly moved as she updated fans on her spouse, Brian May's condition following his health scare.
In a previous statement in September, the Queen guitarist disclosed he had had a stroke. He said at the time: "The good news is that I can play guitar after the events of the last few days.
"I say this because it was in some doubt because that little health hiccup that I mentioned happened about a week ago, and what they called it was a minor stroke. All of a sudden - out of the blue - I didn't have any control over this arm. So it was a little scary."
During her appearance on Loose Women today, Anita responded to the hosts' inquiries about her husband's wellbeing with heartfelt gratitude. She said: "Thank you for asking. I'm very happy to say, sitting here now, he is stable. It was a bolt from the blue and a big wake up call for us both.

"We think we can charge through life, and do the things we want to do, and failing and succeeding. And you never think about that inevitable moment when you have to slow down. This did make him - and me too - think you're not getting any younger and at some point, you are going to have to face the prospect that you can't do the things you want to do."

It's been quite a shock in the way, but not a massive shock because thank God he's alright!"
Brian was admitted to Frimley Hospital in Surrey and thankfully, his condition has seen significant improvement. At the time, he told fans: "So, the good news is I'm OK. I'm just doing what I'm told, which is basically nothing. I'm not allowed to go out - well, I'm not allowed to drive, not allowed to get on a plane, not allowed to raise the heart rate too high."

Urging people not to get in touch to send their well-wishes, he added: "I really don't want sympathy. Please don't do that because it'll clutter up my inbox and I hate that."
