The Pure Electric x McLaren 2024 Collection Launches Worldwide Today

Fresh off the back of its first ever collaboration last month, Pure Electric has announced another release from its partnership with McLaren. The brands have come together to release a pair of special edition e-scooters that will be instantly recognizable to Formula 1 fans, with one colorway sporting McLaren's iconic payapa orange and another in a sleek, race-ready deep black.

Based on its popular Pure Advance+ model, the Pure x McLaren Special Edition scooters feature a powerful motor capable of pushing 710 watts of peak power, resulting in both fast acceleration as well as strong hill-climbing credentials. The scooters have a 31 mile (approximately 50 kilometer) range, allowing for long periods between charging depending on use, as well as large 10-inch puncture-resistant tires. They're also IP65-rated, making them "fully waterproof" and able to be used in all weather conditions.

Users will also find the same front-facing riding position found on the Pure Advance+ on the Pure x McLaren Special Edition, with the brand claiming this "enables the rider to take a natural, forward-facing stance, with feet apart, delivering a more stable and comfortable ride."

Founded in 2018 by Adam Norris, Pure Electric has risen to the top of the e-mobility market through its innovative approach to product design. The partnership has allowed it to combine its expertise in the space with McLaren's sharp design aesthetic and knowledge of hybrid power, but the brands share more than just design and product values – there's a familial bond, too, as founder Norris is the father or Formula 1 and McLaren race driver Lando Norris. Both Norris' are said to have played a personal role in the development of this product and partnership, with Norris (the elder) said to be "very honored" to announce the partnership, going on to say his company Pure is "on a mission to be the future of e-mobility" with the collaboration reflecting "the pioneering engineering and design that we stand for.”

The Pure x McLaren Special Edition is available worldwide now in papaya and black via Pure's website.
