have reportedly agreed to sell Hakim Ziyech to Galatasaray on a permanent basis as the Blues set about auctioning off a section of their playing squad. Lewis Hall and are also set to depart Stamford Bridge, and others are sure to follow before the end of the summer transfer window.

Ziyech was sent to Turkey on loan last summer after making 24 Chelsea appearances without scoring a single goal in 2021/22. Signed by former Blues boss Frank Lampard, the Moroccan never hit the heights in the Premier League that he did at Ajax.

And after four years on the books at Chelsea, who paid £33million to sign him from the Dutch giants in 2020, transfer expert Fabrizio Romano claims that Galatasaray have agreed to take Ziyech permanently after triggering an obligation to buy clause.

Reports indicate that the Blues will only receive around £2.5m for the permanent sale - a fraction of what they paid for the 31-year-old.

News of Ziyech's departure comes after Hall's Newcastle United loan move was made permanent for £28m. There was some doubt as to whether the 19-year-old would complete his switch to St James' Park given his lack of game time this season, but a recent run of games under Eddie Howe has resulted in all the performance-related criteria being triggered.

As a graduate of Chelsea's academy, Hall's big-money sale will go down in Chelsea's accounts as pure profit. Along with Hall and Ziyech, long-serving defender Thiago Silva is also leaving Stamford Bridge.

The 39-year-old is returning to Fluminense on a two-year deal, and Chelsea have allowed him to join up with his new team-mates after their final game of the season in May, rather than making him wait until the expiration of his contract on June 30.

Extortionate transfer spending since Todd Boehly and Clearlake Capital took control of the club has landed Chelsea with a bloated squad. Romelu Lukaku, Malang Sarr, Kepa Arrizabalaga and Ian Maatsen are among the other players expected to leave the club this summer.

With books to balance, the Blues are also believed to be set on selling Armando Broja once his loan spell at Fulham concludes. The 22-year-old joined the Cottagers in January but Rodrigo Muniz's red-hot form has left him rooted to the bench.

Chelsea demanded £50m for academy product Broja in the winter, but Boehly and co may have to come down with their asking price in light of his recent confidence crisis.
