Gerard Lopez has blasted former Barcelona teammate Xavi.

Gerard was left angered by Xavi again claiming Barca were the better team after their 4-2 defeat at Girona on Saturday.

The pundit snapped on Movistar+: "My intention is not to argue with Xavi, it never has been. But I was critical during the season for these type of comments from the coach.

"We have seen games many times, that we have analysed and then in the press room it became the opposite regarding my opinion or the vast majority of opinions that exist in Barcelona. It is a speech for him and very close people: the staff, the closest people ... If not, there is no justification."

Gerard continued: "There are 13 goals against the most important rivals such as Madrid or Girona, but there are many more goals this season, matches that cannot have any justification. Against Antwerp, Shakhtar, Villarreal, Granada at home scores three goals ... There are many more. I have not had quiet Sundays on the program.
