ITV This Morning fans have same complaint as Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard go missing

This Morning: Craig and Josie fill in for Ben and Cat

As Monday's episode of This Morning began, viewers all had the same complaint as regular hosts Ben Shephard and Cat Deeley were missing on-screen.

The pair were replaced by stand-in hosts Craig Doyle and Josie Gibson as they enjoyed the Bank Holiday weekend off, but fans weren't happy about the pair being away so soon after the last school holidays.

Viewers flocked to X, formerly known as Twitter, to air their grievances as one person said: "Another three day week for Ben and Cat. Pathetic appointment. Bring me back Ruth and Eamonn #ThisMorning."

Another social media user penned: "#thismorning Crikey Ben and Cat have only just come back from their Easter Hols and now gone off again. It really is a hard life presenting on daytime @ITV these days.. poor loves."

Somebody else wrote: "Cat and Ben getting Bank holiday Monday off, typical #ThisMorning."

Yet another ITV viewer wrote: "I've nothing against Ben or Cat but they just don't have the same energy or charisma as Craig & Josie #thismorning."

A fifth said: "I’m already much preferring the Craig and Josie combo than everything we’ve had to put up with for the last weeks with Ben and Cat. They’ve only been on 40 minutes #ThisMorning."

While a sixth added: "If they won't give us Craig and Josie every day at least give them Mondays (not just Bank Holidays) so #ThisMorning starts and ends the week being watchable.

"Baffling how anyone thought the untested combo of Ben and Cat would be better."

Cat and Ben made their debut on the morning programme in March, with viewers left divided over their hosting skills.

The pair replaced Holly Willoughby and her former co-host Phillip Schofield, after many months of speculation over who would be taking over from them.

Alison Hammond and Dermot O'Leary host the show for their Friday slots as well as during select holidays.

This Morning airs weekdays from 10am on ITV1 and ITVX.
