Strictly's Bobby Brazier says 'never again' after The One Show snub

Bobby Brazier makes 'liberty' comment on The One Show

Strictly Come Dancing 2023 finalist Bobby Brazier has threatened to boycott The One Show after two brutal snubs while live on-air during Wednesday evening's episode. The 20-year-old appeared on the BBC One show to speak about his upcoming participation in this year's Soccer Aid and was joined by Hollywood royalty icon Rebel Wilson who was promoting her new memoir.

As the episode was drawing to a close, hosts Alex Jones and Jermaine Jenas took the opportunity to read out a viewer's comment for Rebel, before saying they were out of time.

A disheartened Bobby expressed: "Oh come on, do I not get one?," as he laughed along with Rebel and the hosts. Pointing out the funny side of it, the EastEnders actor shared the clip with his 405 thousand Instagram followers and wrote: "Liberty mate never doing the one show again," with a crying with laughter emoji.

This wasn't the only time Bobby was snubbed during his appearance as he was forced to correct Alex at the beginning of the show. During his introduction, Alex, 47, called him by the wrong name when she referred to his character in the popular soap opera.

The Welsh-born star dubbed the blunder as a "huge error" as she said: "We will be talking to Bobby Brazier who plays Freddie Mitchell."

Before continuing to say "Please welcome Bobbie Brazier", as she grinned from ear to ear. But before she could even finish her sentence Bobby interrupted and set the record straight.

"By the way by the way it’s Freddie Slater, not Freddie Mitchell. Freddie Mitchell don’t exist," he said.

After Alex quickly tried to cover it up and apologised by saying: "Oh my now that is an error."

As well as his impending return to EastEnders and showing off his footie skills for Soccer Aid, Bobby has recently been revealed to be starring in a brand new project.

He will be starring on a brand new Paramount show along with some EastEnders legends including Anita Dobson who played the iconic Angie Watts and Lucy Benjamin who starred as Lisa Fowler.

Joining them is Larry Lamb who played Archie Mitchell, as the foursome will star in Curfew, which is a thrill seeking adaptation of Jayne Cowie’s twisted novel After Dark.

It follows a society governed by The Women’s Safety Act, where men are tracked by ankle tags.
