Death in Paradise Ralf Little's replacement officially confirmed as star 'humbled' to join
Death in Paradise's Ralf Little has officially been replaced after exiting his role.
EastEnders star Don Gilet will now step in and take over, playing detective inspector Mervin Wilson. Don is best known for his role as the evil Lucas Johnson on the popular BBC soap.
His character will arrive in the fictional island of Saint Marie after travelling from London, but he won't be "overly pleased".
The confirmation of Don's role comes shortly after Ralf Little left the popular BBC series.
Don said of the new role: "Being offered the new lead role in Death In Paradise feels like a deeply loved and incredibly precious jewel has been placed in my hands.

"Even during those testing times when every sinew is screaming at me to run off the set and dive into the sea, swimming pool or an ice-cold beer – whichever happens to be closer at the time."
He previously made a guest appearance in an episode of Deathi n Paradise season four as Andre Morgan when Kris Marshall as DI Humphrey Goodman was the lead detective.
