The One Show's Alex Jones distracts viewers who say same thing about BBC's Strictly duo

Alex Jones opted for a striking look on The One Show as she donned a bright red outfit and viewers said the same thing.

The BBC presenter, 47, donned a red blouse with matching trousers which also featured a white stripe, and paired the casual look with a pair of heels. The mum-of-three kept her make-up light wearing winged eyeliner and a matte rouge lip with her brown tresses worn in her signature look.

But the outfit caused quite a stir on social media as some viewers likened it to the iconic outfit worn by Jane Lynch in the US musical series Glee while others suggested she matched The One Show's red and white logo.

Taking to X, @ariadnereviews shared a side by side photo of Alex and the Glee character, writing: "Kind of obsessed with Alex Jones's Sue Sylvester cosplay #TheOneShow."

Meanwhile, Alex and Jermaine were joined on the sofa by comedian Rhod Gilbert, who discussed his latest comedy tour and the return of his show Growing Pains.

In addition, the hosts introduced Strictly duo Layton Williams and Nikita Kuzmin to the BBC show as they discussed their self-titled dance tour.

The pair, who reached the BBC final last year, announced an extra date had been added to their London show due to public demand.

Viewers flocked to X as they gushed over the dancing duo, as @IainWorks said: "Yass! A power duo. POW!!"
