After two successful series of Amanda and Alan's Italian Job, Amanda Holden has confirmed she and Alan Carr are going back on the road for a third series on BBC One, but with a twist. The 53-year-old took to her Instagram stories on Thursday to share the exciting update with her loyal 2.2 million followers.

She posted a selfie with Alan, 47, as the Britain's Got Talent judge donned a jean jacket and a large summer hat in the picture. Alan looked excited, smiling widely while wearing a khaki green jacket.

Amanda, who recently scaled a wall, wrote above the snap: "Hola! Back together for series three," alongside a red heart emoji. The second series aired on BBC One earlier this year, with fans tuning in each week to see the pair renovate a dilapidated 17th-century house in Tuscany that they purchased for one euro.

However, this time the duo will be swapping Italy for Spain as they head to the province of Andalusia to highlight some of the forgotten areas in the Costa Del Sol in order to enhance tourism. Amanda and Alan will take on yet another run-down property and will renovate it to perfection, with the eventual proceeds of the sale going to Comic Relief and Children In Need.

In one particular episode of the second series, the mum-of-two was caught off-guard when Alan hilariously insulted her fashion sense. Amanda is known for showing off her signature style on social media, but this time, the comedian was having none of it.

He brutally took a swipe at her as he labelled her dress sense "last season" which shocked her to her core.

Alan, who is rumoured to be dating a hairdresser, bowled into the room they were renovating all dressed up for the occasion. As he donned a hard hat, the television personality wore Dolce and Gabanna overalls with bright yellow lemons on it.

In the hilarious clip, he stood opposite Amanda and said: “What, what? It’s D&G”, while struggling to hold back his laughter. She went on to mischievously shout: "I hate you".

Alan responded: “What's up?”, while giving her a twirl to show off his jazzy ensemble. Meanwhile, Amanda was standing in a plain builders-style jumpsuit, looking very casual.

Amanda exclaimed while reacting to her co-star's look: "This is amazing!" The Channel 4 star was quick to stick in a jibe and further quipped of Amanda's look: “I am not being a cow but that is very last season!"

Furious that she had not brought her fashion A-game, Amanda could not help but agree. Standing there looking glum, she was forced to admit that she could not compete with Alan, who looked very over the top.

She turned to the side looking down and admitted: "It is very last season". Raging that she was not the one standing out on camera, she sighed: “Damn it”.

The first two series of Amanda and Alan's Italian Job is available to watch on BBC iPlayer.
