Beyond Paradise fans all say the same thing ahead of emotional season finale

Beyond Paradise has become a BBC hit with Death in Paradise fans lapping up Humphrey Goodman (played by Kris Marshall) and Martha Lloyd's (Sally Bretton) family affairs.

The second season is expected to culminate in the pair getting married, with Martha's mum Anne (Barbara Flynn) having frantically planned a lavish ceremony.

However, the big day has cropped up too quickly for the stressed couple, with Martha hinting she cannot go through with it.

Ahead of the season finale, fans took to social media devastated at the show's number of episodes. Many demanded each season should contain at least eight instalments, rather than six.

Taking to X, formerly Twitter, Debbie Blackman wrote: "Stunned there is only six episodes. Far too few #BeyondParadise"

Suz added: "This needed to be more than six episodes. And definitely series 3 as last episode next week #BeyondParadise"

James Lowe wrote: "Can not believe it’s the last episode next week #BeyondParadise"

On Facebook, Lynn Chubb penned: "My favourite show. Such a shame there were only 6 episodes in this run. Please can we have more in the next series, I really look forward to watching on Friday nights!"

Lizzy Raymer said after the penultimate episode: "Another great episode! It's such a shame it's the last in the series though next Friday. I wish they could be longer!"

The BBC teased ahead of the finale: "With bride and groom running around, and thieves running amok in Shipton Abbott, can the team wrap everything up in time to mark Humphrey and Martha’s long-awaited union, or does fate have other plans?"
