Hotel Stratford in San Francisco will join Accor’s Handwritten Collection this summer, marking the first US property for the brand.
The 94-room hotel originally opened in 1910 and is located on Powell Street in the city’s Union Square district.
The property has recently undergone a multi million dollar refurbishment project, and this summer will unveil a new European-style cafe / bar Navé.
Accor launched the Handwritten Collection in January 2023, aimed at independent hotels in the midscale segment.
The brand currently comprises 12 properties in nine countries including Hotel Morris in Sydney, Hotel Shanghai Sheshan Oriental, and Oru Hub Hotel in Tallinn.
The collection sits alongside the group’s luxury Emblem Collection which launched in 2019, and the established upper upscale M Gallery Collection.
Hotel Stratford will be Accor’s third property in San Francisco, joining the Fairmont San Francisco and Fairmont Heritage Place – Ghirardelli Square.
