Palladium Hotel Group is strengthening its global presence with its arrival in the Middle East. In an ambitious new project, which will be carried out in conjunction with Al Marjan and Almal Real Estate Development – an award-winning ultra-luxury developer based in the region – the Group will be bringing their first international opening with the launch of the Ushuaïa Unexpected Hotels & Residences.
The new property – which will be a hotel and residential facility – will be located on Al Marjan Island in the UAE’s emirate of Ras Al Khaimah, one of the region’s premier tourist and investment destinations. It will comprise a sophisticated beach club, restaurant, and infinity pool, all situated adjacent to the Wynn Resort Island and overlooking the picturesque Arabian Gulf. The project – which attracted more than US$100 million in investment – will consist of 442 hotel rooms and residential units. It is currently scheduled to open in 2026.

With more than a decade of success behind them through Ushuaïa Ibiza Beach Hotel, the brand’s first establishment, The Unexpected Hotels & Residences marks a new chapter in the brand’s evolution. The new UAE-based project promises to “maintain the innovative and disruptive spirit that defines the brand, and will keep the essence of the parent brand in terms of visual identity, with recognisable elements such as its typography, characteristic colour and the iconic hummingbird.”
