WhatsApp; using it with small business marketing and improving customer experience

Before social media came into existence, advertising and marketing was a very different game. Newspaper ads used to dominate the scene and there was always a fierce battle to get space nearest the front pages. The introduction of TV and radio shows catapulted us into a new era where the screen and air time was the most important; the closer your ad was to prime time, the more likely you were to be successful. Social media has taken things to a whole new level, however. Sites like Facebook are absolutely dominating the scene with over 2billion active users and if you can find space on these sites you have a good chance at being seen. That’s the problem, though- being seen. Sometimes you need to go for something a little less orthodox and that’s why I believe WhatsApp is such a good option for you. There are a number of reasons as to why this is the case and I’m here to discuss some of them today.

For more whatsapp business tips, click here.

First of all, WhatsApp is a really popular app. A lot of people don’t give it enough credit in this regard but there really are a lot of people who use it. This is down to a few reasons; it’s really easy to set up and it’s free as well. The fact that users’ accounts are linked to their mobile phone numbers is a bonus as well, with people using it as a cheap alternative to texting. You’ll be hard pushed to find someone without a phone these days and that makes WhatsApp a prime location to exploit for marketing. Plenty of people have signed up and are using it daily, so if you’re able to access their feeds and advertise your products or ideas there’s a good chance you could gain the approval of a whole new generation of clients.

The fact that WhatsApp isn’t used by as many companies for advertising is also a bonus for you. With websites and applications like Facebook, Youtube, and Instagram being full of advertisements (which isn’t surprising due to their popularity) it can be difficult to find space on them. With WhatsApp, however, there is still a lot of space to exploit. As I’ve already mentioned, there are a lot of people who use WhatsApp daily and if you can access even a few of their feeds you’ll be well on the way to a successful marketing campaign. Have a look around at other WhatsApp marketing techniques and try to incorporate some of the successful ones into your plan.

Improving your customer service skills will also come naturally if you’re using WhatsApp for marketing. It’s really easy to interact with your customers and clients on this app and that’s what will make it so good; your customers will feel as though they’re having an ordinary conversation with your company and they’ll feel much more comfortable. If your customer service skills are up to scratch they’re more likely to stick with you as a client so it could be a really good idea for your business.
