Andy Murray will continue his injury comeback by playing in Bordeaux and Geneva before playing at the French Open in both singles and doubles, a source has told ESPN.

Murray, who will partner fellow Brit Dan Evans at Roland Garros in doubles, has entered a second-tier challenger event in Bordeaux which begins on May 13 and will also play in the Geneva Open the following week.

Murray injured his left ankle at the Miami Masters in March and his camp were originally reluctant to put a timeframe on his recovery. But Murray will compete in the clay season before attention shifts to the grass courts where he'll play at Stuttgart and at Queen's in London before Wimbledon.

This could yet be his final season in the sport having said earlier this year he doesn't plan to "play much past this summer" but the 36-year-old is showing few signs of slowing down. He has played at Roland Garros just once since his hip resurfacing surgery in 2019.

The three-time Grand Slam-winner has only played doubles at Roland Garros on one prior occasion. That was back in 2006 when he and James Auckland were knocked out by United States' Bryan brothers. A decade on, he reached the singles final of the French Open in 2016, where he lost to Novak Djokovic.
