Tim Sherwood says Man Utd will have no problem signing players in January
Manchester United will have “no problem” signing their transfer targets in January because they are still the biggest club in the Premier League, according to Tim Sherwood.
United have suffered their worst start to a season for 30 years, winning just two of their opening eight league matches.
Sherwood says serious recruitment is needed, starting in the winter transfer window.
The former Tottenham boss was working alongside West Ham star Michail Antonio and used him as an example to explain why Manchester United are still a big attraction for players.

“Ultimately the buck stops with the manager, he has to get the best out of the group of players that he has,” Sherwood told Premier League Productions.
“But also the due-diligence regarding their recruitment has to be better.
“Some players we’ve seen down the years have never been able to do it on the big stage.
“They can play for the littler clubs in the Premier League - as soon as they go to the big stage, and there is no bigger than Manchester United in the Premier League, it takes a different type of character to want to get on the ball when things aren’t going well.
“A game-controller, they haven’t got that. They haven’t got the conductor, they haven’t got the Michael Carrick, they haven’t got the Roy Keane.
“They haven’t got match-winners, they haven’t got the conductor, the game controller, they haven’t got leaders. It leaves them in a big mess.
“What they need is a lot of work in the transfer market. Is Ole [Gunnar Solskjaer] the right man? They have to make that decision very, very quickly.

“If Man United came in for this man [Antonio], as much as he likes it at West Ham, he would go there.
"Anyone, I’m just using him as an example.”
