boss has confirmed that the Red Devils have suffered two more blows to add to their lengthy injury list. United are vying for a place in Europe next season but will have to make do without another two key stars as they hope to derail title bid.

Ten Hag confirmed that he will be without both and for Sunday's clash with Arsenal. The former midfielder has spent the majority of the season injured, but returned in March and made his first start since November in the 4-0 thrashing by .

Shaw sustained a significant muscle injury in February that had threatened his chances of missing the final and even with , but he returned to training this week in the hopes of featuring in the league, before suffering a setback in his rehabilitation.

“Mason Mount has suffered a new injury and he won’t be available, he's been really unlucky," Ten Hag confirmed in his pre-match press conference, before adding that left-back Luke Shaw will also spend longer than expected on the sidelines: "Luke Shaw had a setback in his process as well but there is still a hope and he will fight to be available for the final."

"Yesterday, Licha [Martinez] came to me and wanted to play on Sunday against Arsenal but he's not ready yet," Ten Hag revealed. "He needs a little bit more time to go through the process, but he is so desperate.

“Rashy [Rashford], of course, he trained this morning as well, and we have to see how he recovered from this. But I think it looks quite good and I hope he can tomorrow make the next training and then see if he is available for Sunday. Bruno [Fernandes] was on the pitch and was on the pitch, so there are some players returning."
