Wrexham goalkeeper Mark Howard is confident that the club's recent promotion to League One will turn heads and draw talent from higher tiers of English football. The sensational rise continued with a resounding 6-0 victory over Forest Green at the Racecourse Ground last Saturday, confirming their spot in the third tier for the next season.

This triumph follows their ascent from the National League just a year prior. The tale of Wrexham's resurgence has captured widespread attention, especially since Hollywood actors and Rob McElhenney took the reins in November 2020, with ambitions of restoring the club's past successes.

With the celebrity duo at the helm, Wrexham has managed to sign some top players from the Football League in recent seasons. As Wrexham gears up for what promises to be another bustling summer, Howard has made two bold predictions: the owners' support will persist, and the club's allure will only grow, enticing players from higher levels.

"There will be a lot of players from higher divisions looking at Wrexham and thinking how appealing it is," he shared with Online Betting Guide.

"The way [the owners] look after us is fantastic. The club is building and they want success. We can tell with the way the club is progressing and building that we have to do the best we can to deliver. Other players from other teams will be looking at us and thinking we are a good club to play for one day."

Wrexham are expected to make significant moves in the upcoming transfer market to continue their ascent in the Football League. Howard is confident that the investment into the playing squad from the ownership will persist into the summer and beyond.

"Momentum is huge in football," Howard added. "Our target will be to continue to build. We won't be making big predictions as that is not us. League One is a lot tougher and a bigger ask as there are a lot of big clubs with history. The levels get harder but we will try and continue to push on.

"We have been accustomed to winning. You never know what will happen. The owners have shown they will give the backing so it's exciting times and who knows where it will take us."

Co-owner Reynolds was visibly thrilled with last weekend's promotion, expressing his joy on social media following the victory.

"A few years ago," he tweeted. "If you told me I would be crying tears of joy over a football match taking place in North Wales, you would be Rob McElhenney. Congrats to Wrexham and to my co-chairman in crime. Double up the town! This is the ride of our lives."
