Brody Kozlowski may not have picked BYU the first time around. But two coaching changes later, he is headed to Provo.
The four-star recruit out of Corner Canyon reversed his USC commitment and will sign with BYU, he announced on social media Monday.
Kozlowski’s recruitment reopened last month after USC coach Andy Enfield left to become SMU’s head coach.
The high school senior considered BYU before he signed with USC. He was recruited by then-BYU coach Mark Pope.
When Pope left for Kentucky in early April, Kozlowski was contacted by new BYU head coach Kevin Young, who came in touting different credentials and is focusing his pitch on bringing NBA talent to Provo.
Kozlowski is Young’s first recruit at BYU. The local product has strong ties to the university, including his mother Kristen Kozlowski, a former BYU basketball player herself who now works for BYUtv.
