RACE Day 1 - Series 2 Sunday 19th May
 
All are welcome to join PYC (Phuket Yacht Club) Sunday sailing races. Breakfast is available at the club from 8 am onwards.
 
Boats should be rigged up and ready to go by 0930. Anybody wishing to sail but doesn't have a boat are advised to turn up before 0900 and we will do our best to get you on a vessel.
 
Eligibility and entry – The series is open to all sailing dinghies with a Victoria Yachting Yardstick Number, boats without a number may be allocated a handicap based on boats performance and characteristics.  Eligible boats may enter by completing the sign up sheet on each race day and by paying the racing nomination fee to the Race Officer or appointed PYC representative.
 
Fees – There is no entry fee for boats. Crew fees are 150 baht per person for PYC members, 300 baht for non-members.  PLEASE NOTE: Crew fees are applicable to ALL participating crew. 
 
PYC has a number of boats available for hire, please email [email protected]om to book a boat (fee depends on which boat and if you are a member or not.
 
Course – Ao Chalong Bay and surrounding area, details announced at race briefing pending prevailing conditions.
 
This Series will consist of 4 Race days. Amount of races will be determined on the day according to conditions. No discards.
 
Rules – The regatta will be governed by the rules as defined in The Racing Rules of Sailing 2017-2020.
 
Handicap system – Yachting Victoria Yardstick

Start Time - ASAP after briefing
 
Insurance
Each participating boat shall be insured with valid third-party liability insurance to a minimum cover of Twenty Million Thai Baht, or the equivalent, for all races entered.
 
Disclaimer of liability
Competitors participate in the regatta entirely at their own risk. See rule 4, Decision to Race. The organising authority will not accept any liability for material damage or personal injury or death sustained in conjunction with or prior to, during, or after the regatta.
