Laura Simpson has been thrust into the spotlight after she was pictured in a car with the footballer following a night out in a club while his wife Coleen was away on holiday.
The interview got off to a bad start when Phillip bluntly asked her: "Why are you here?"
She appeared on today’s episode of the ITV breakfast show to tell her side of the story, however it appeared that Phillip, 55, was less than impressed with her.
The presenter questioned her over why she had got into a car with a married man after she said that no one would care if it had been anyone else apart from the footballer.
"If I got in a cab with you, I don’t think I’d be all over the papers…" Laura told him, leading him to hit back: “I think you b****y would! My wife would be all over you!”
Co-star Holly Willoughby also got involved as she told Laura: “It wouldn’t be an issue publicly, but morally it’s still the same issue…"
