Piers Morgan is leaving Rupert Murdoch’s News UK to focus on expanding his Uncensored YouTube channel in the US and around the world.
Sky News reported on Wednesday that Piers, 59, and News UK have agreed on a deal that will allow the broadcaster to take ownership of the Uncensored brand through his production company, Wake Up Productions.
The outlet reports that the deal will see Rupert Murdoch's company profit from a cut of Piers Morgan Uncensored's advertising revenue until 2029.
It is understood that Piers will fulfil a book deal with Murdoch-owned publisher Harper Collins later this year and continue to write occasionally for News Corporation publications.
The former Good Morning Britain presenter returned to News UK in 2022 with a three-year deal that included writing columns for The Sun and New York Post and presenting his Uncensored show on TalkTV.

The deal, which was reported to have been £50 million, catapulted Piers to become the UK's highest-paid journalist.
Piers Morgan Uncensored launched on TalkTV in April 2022 and was broadcast in the UK, US and Australia. He interviewed numerous big-name guests including Donald Trump, Cristiano Ronaldo and President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky.
In February 2024, the former Britain's Got Talent judge left TalkTV and broadcast his show globally on YouTube.
TalkTV folded one month later due to low viewership and became a streaming-only channel.
