The Traitors: Claudia Winkleman announces plot twist
The Traitors made its highly anticipated return to BBC with Claudia Winkleman at the helm and a new set of 22 strangers competing to win £120,000.
During the new series, fans were certain they’d uncovered the next player to be banished after the traitors were chosen.
Although the show kicked off with tons of tension, suspense rose after Claudia revealed to viewers that Armani, Minah Shannon and Linda had been selected.
With the three women named as Traitors, the other contestants are Faithfuls.
It's the Traitors’ task to convince the rest of the players that they are also Faithfuls so that they can steal the whole prize pot for themselves in the end.
Throughout the series, the Traitors will kill off a Faithful each day without causing suspicion within the group, while the cast completes challenges with a chance to win an immunity shield to avoid being murdered that evening.
The first episode ended on a dramatic cliffhanger as viewers didn't find out who had been nominated for banishment.
Taking to social media viewers predicted that Armani’s sister Maia could be banished as one penned: “If Armani was a true traitor she would of taken her sister out first.”
Another agreed: “Armani should have definitely murdered her sister Maia at the first murder because Maia has 100 percent clocked that Armani is a Traitor.”
