Maura Higgins mum says chat has been 'taken out of context'
I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! star Mura Higgins' mother has broken her silence on her daughter's sex life chat, as she reveals it's been "taken out of context".
Appearing on ITV's Lorraine on Tuesday morning (December 3), Maura's mum, Sharon, quickly clarified what she talks about with her daughter, as Maura previously revealed that her mum is privy to details on her romantic connections.
Probing her about what they've discussed following Maura's revelation on I'm A Celeb, presenter Lorraine Kelly asked: "The only thing I was a bit 'ohh' like this, is when she said she talks to you about all aspects of her sex life. Is that true? Does she tell you absolutely everything?"
Setting the record straight, Sharon replied: "That was taken out of context a little bit."

"Normally, if she's in a relationship, I would just ask her, like 'How is everything in the relationship?' But Maura being Maura, will just start elaborating, and I would say, 'Enough too much information, I don't need to know'," she laughed.
Sharon added that she wouldn't want to know too much about certain details about what Maura gets up to. Lorraine agreed and said: "I'm with you, Sharon! I wouldn't want to know that."
ITV presenter Lorraine also quizzed Sharon on rumours that previously circulated about Maura dating Strictly and TOWIE star Pete Wicks.
Sharon gave further insight, confirming that Maura told her that she is "great friends" with Pete and that they've always been friends.
On Monday night's instalment of I'm A Celeb, Maura gave further insight into her connection with Pete.
Talking to campmate GK Barry, she recalled being asked if she was dating Pete recently by a media outlet and told them: "You know more than me! No, I'm single. People can date and not be in a relationship and take things slow."
Sharing why she decided to keep things under wraps, she added: "What’s the point in getting them involved too soon, when you just don’t know where it’s gonna go, you know?"
Elsewhere in her interview with Lorraine, Sharon also mentioned an "unfortunate" aspect as she revealed she's not being able to vote to save her daughter from elimination as you can't vote in the Republic of Ireland.
She said: "It puts her on the backfoot that way because she has a lot of support here."
I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! airs Monday-Sundays at 9pm on ITV1.
