One Strictly Come Dancing pair have been dealt a significant setback just hours before the next live BBC show.

After last weekend's annual trip to Blackpool, the seven remaining couples are set to return to the ballroom on Saturday (November 23) in an attempt to impress judges Craig Revel Horwood, Motsy Mabuse, Shirley Ballas and Anton Du Beke, as well as the viewers at home.

Karen Carney, Briony May Williams and Dominic Skinner appeared on Friday's (November 22) episode of Strictly spin-off show It Takes Two to discuss who they believe could be at risk this weekend.

In conversation with host Janette Manrara, both Dominic and Briony selected JB Gill and Lauren Oakley, while Karen opted for Pete Wicks and Jowita Przysta.

As we approach the second half of the season, the standards continue to rise, with Sarah Hadland, Chris McCausland and Tasha Ghouri consistently impressing and occupying the top three spots on the Strictly leaderboard over the weekend.

This weekend, Montell Douglas and Johanness Radebe aim to recover from last week's dreaded dance-off against Wynne Evans and Katya Jones by performing the Quickstep to Ella Fitzgerald's Get Happy.

Sarah and her partner Vito Coppola will perform the Rumba to Chains by Tina Arena, while Tasha and Aljaz Skorjanec will present an American Smooth to Lewis Capaldi's Someone You Loved.

Chris and Dianne Buswell are set to perform the Pado Doble for week 10, dancing to El Gato Montes by Manuel Panella. Jamie Borthwick and Michelle Tsiakkas will grace the dance floor with a Foxtrot to Stand By Me by Ben E. King reports the Mirror.

JB and Lauren are preparing to entertain with the Charleston to Yes Sir! That's My Baby by Firehouse Five Plus Two, while Pete and Jowita aim to avoid the bottom two by performing the Tango to Easy Lover by Philip Bailey, Phil Collins.

Strictly: It Takes Two airs weeknights on BBC Two at 6.30pm and Strictly Come Dancing airs Saturdays and Sundays on BBC One
