Corrie: Claire Sweeney teases possible prison for Cassie
There's potential drama brewing on Coronation Street as Cassie Plummer, played by Claire Sweeney, may be heading for a dramatic exit.
Fans have been following the story as she looked after Ken Barlow (Bill Roache), who suffered a fall that led to a fractured pelvis.
Yet, a twist emerged when Ken let Cassie go, despite seeming accepting at the time, her later actions suggested otherwise.
In a concerning development, Cassie was observed spiking Ken's drink with a crushed tablet alongside providing his regular meds.
The plot thickened Wednesday night when Ken had to be urgently hospitalised, subsequently offering Cassie her job back, reports Plymouth Live.

I’m A Celeb’s Alan Halsall ‘needs more airtime’ says Coronation Street co-star
Claire Sweeney hinted at upcoming turmoil for Cassie during an appearance on Good Morning Britain on Friday.
Speaking with hosts Kate Garraway and Paul Brand, the soap star discussed an interview with Sue Crawford where she attempted to rationalize Cassie's dubious decisions.
But she was quickly reminded by the hosts that spiking someones drink constitutes a crime, hinting at possible prison time for Cassie.
Kate probed: "Oh god, hang on, does that mean you might be going to jail?"
Claire, opting to keep viewers guessing, coyly responded: "Who knows.."
The GMB host branded Claire a tease, but the soap star was quick to make it clear that shes not looking to be written out of the drama, expressing her adoration for the show.
Claire did admit that theres plenty more excitement to come in the plot, revealing: "What's funny about Cass is that people are just starting to like her."
She elaborated on her character's interactions with Steve McDonald (Simon Gregson), saying: "She had all the flirtations with Steve McDonald and suddenly... This is what I said to Kate, our producer, and she said, 'She can't help herself'.
"Everything is about survival with Cassie, and this is about surviving and keeping her job, and she also really likes Steve as well. So, it's not the end it's going to go on for a while."
In conversation with the television hosts, she also mentioned her on-screen son Alan Halsall's stint in the I'm A Celeb camp.
Praising his qualities, she said: "Isn't he wonderful? I know Maureen Lipman came on here and she said he'll start off quietly just watch and observe and then he'll come forward.
"That's what he'll do, he's brilliant Alan, he's such a funny guy. He's smart, he's sensitive, he's a really brilliant personality."
Despite observations about Alan's quiet demeanor, Claire countered: "In the first episode he wasn't quiet because he had the big trial with Tulisa and he really shone in that didn't he? He's sitting back at the moment. I think he will, he needs more airtime."
