GMB addressed Prince Harry and King Charles

Good Morning Britain was branded a disgrace over its "endless" coverage of King Charles and Prince Harry, with viewers threatening to change the channel. This morning, the ITV show featured an interview with the Archbishop of Canterbury, who urged the public not to "judge" either party, after a spokesperson revealed that there will be no possibility for father and son to reunite this week.

Yet it was also pointed out that the King had been at Buckingham Palace with other senior royals hosting a garden party on Wednesday afternoon, just a couple of miles from Harry, who was giving a speech at St Paul's Cathedral. Viewers were unimpressed by the debate, taking to Twitter to exclaim: "Please get this god awful presenter Garraway off GMB... Click over to Sky News."

"Change the record, oh no wait... I can change the channel!" swiped a second. "None of our business, their private life is exactly that!!! Private!! Get a grip please and leave them be!!" a third viewer chimed in.

GMB had released a poll this morning, following up from their interview with the Archbishop and asking viewers if the seemingly estranged duo should resolve their differences and reunite. It wrote: "Prince Harry is set to leave the UK today after the 10th anniversary of the Invictus Games. It's been said that Prince Harry was ‘very keen’ to meet his father, but the King is unable due to his ‘full programme’. Should Charles make time to see his son whilst he's in the UK?"

Tellingly, almost 56 percent were in favour of a royal reunion - but many believe that's unlikely due to the potentially toxic legacy left by Harry's tell-all tome Spare. On yesterday's show, royal expert Andrew Pierce had suggested that Charles no longer "trusted" his second son.

However, this morning, many viewers dismissed and brushed away the significance of the pair failing to meet.

That is in spite of Harry being in such close proximity to his cancer-stricken father, whom he has not seen since February.

One viewer tweeted: "I haven’t seen my Mum since September and we live in the same country. We aren’t even estranged, just busy. I work full time. Sometimes schedules don’t mix - not sure why this is so newsworthy."

Another agreed: "I haven't seen or spoken to my biological father for years, and he only lives in the nearby town. When shall I expect a reporter?"

Another pointed out: "This is getting out of hand between Harry and King Charles now. Let Harry get on with his life and deal with his family life in his own time. He may be in the public eye on a daily basis but Joe Public wouldn't like it if others were constantly speculating about their lives."

Some called for more coverage of the war veterans involved in the Invictus Games instead.

Harry is leaving the UK today and is expected to jet to Nigeria to join wife Meghan Markle on a tour of the country.

She revealed that 43 percent of her DNA hails from the West African country and is keen to explore her heritage, which prompted ex-GB News presenter Dan Wootton to ask whether she has designs on becoming "Queen of Africa".
