A Place in the Sun's Laura Hamilton fights tears as guest breaks down over property

Presenter Laura Hamilton got visibly emotional after showing her guests, Kevin and Sally, five options for their £200,000 budget on the latest episode of A Place in the Sun on Channel 4.

After exploring a range of homes in Kefalonia, the pair's hearts were with a stunning four-bedroom property which needed some major renovation work carried out to bring it up to scratch.

At the end of the episode, Sally broke down in tears when her offer for the dream property she wanted to purchase with Kevin was accepted - and it was well within their budget.

Overcome with emotion, she wiped away her tears following a tense day of looking at different properties around the island of all different shapes and sizes.

An overjoyed Laura raised a glass after sealing the deal and exclaimed: "Cheers! Amazing, amazing. I mean, I can't actually believe what you have secured in Kefalonia for £189,000." Continuing to get emotional, Sally replied: "Neither can I!"

Tearing up again over the incredible result on the property hunting show, Laura added: "Don't start crying Sally or you are going to set me off!"

However, Laura ended up getting emotional herself as her eyes started to glaze over during the tender moment.

Still sobbing, Sally admitted: "We couldn't dream of having that back home, could we?"

Property expert Laura replied: "Wow, you've really both got what you wanted and you both agree!"

The couple laughed before Sally jokingly admitted it "might become a problem" if they keep agreeing on decisions.

Wrapping things up, Laura shared: "Well, thank you so much, I wish you all the best. Keep in touch.

"I can't wait to stay in your bed and breakfast when I am next in Kefalonia or rent your villa. Cheers!"

They clinked glasses to toast the occasion before Laura gave viewers an overview of the episode.

A Place in the Sun airs on weekdays at 3pm on Channel 4.
