Mercedes-AMG has officially begun testing its latest fully electric high-performance SUV, first teased in early November. Built on the AMG.EA architecture, this SUV is the second vehicle in AMG’s bespoke EV platform portfolio and showcases innovative advancements in electric performance technology.
The prototype is undergoing rigorous winter testing in northern Sweden. Known for its extreme sub-zero temperatures, the region offers an ideal environment to evaluate the SUV's performance and durability. This development phase is designed to assess the integration of key components, like its pioneering axial-flux motors and a newly engineered high-performance battery system.
While details are still scarce at the time of writing, this latest SUV signals a big move for Mercedes-AMG, combining the brand’s signature high-performance engineering with the innovation of a fully electric drivetrain.
