At this year’s Jameson Sound Distillery led by Anderson .Paak, 11 musicians came together to enrich their musical repertoires through workshops, performances, and discussions, all of which they took part in with their designated collaborators. The collective has since blended their unique sounds and styles to put out new tracks in the brand’s dedicated live sessions on YouTube.

As the first pair to appear on Jameson's online series, singer Ian Hooper and producer Branko gave a taste of how two distinctly different genres can harmonize together with indie-meets-deep house track, “Go Back.” Inspired by Lisbon’s underground music scene, it features moody electronic beats fused with Hooper’s husky vocals to create the perfect soundtrack for lazy summer days.

In contrast to the debut collaboration, singers Kaiit and Claudia took on the task of weaving together two vocally-powered music portfolios. After finding a middle ground, their track “Draw Me” brings forth a jazz sound that synchronizes Claudia’s pop twang and Kaiit’s soulful flair. Similarly, artists Aoife Nessa Frances and Freak Slug explored how they could mutually showcase their guitar and vocal skills. In “Bunny,” the artists strum a lullaby-like melody where they layer lyrics of love, heartbreak, and longing.

Raising the tempo, L’Rain and Lady Donli followed on with the unveiling of “Not Your Mate.” As the title suggests, the track gives off an unapologetic attitude heightened by traditional African percussion. Performed with infectious energy in the live session, it marks the end of brat summer and the beginning of a “Not Your Mate” fall. Jameson rounds off the series with its first rap-powered track, “Change.” Opening with smooth vocals by Shekhinah, the beat slowly transitions into a hard-hitting anthem with bars by India’s Seedhe Maut.
