LEGO has announced two new sets for its Sonic the Hedgehog collection, set to launch in January 2025. Unveiled during the annual Sonic Central livestream, these sets will allow fans to recreate adventures with beloved Sonic characters and villains in LEGO brick form.
The first set, LEGO Sonic the Hedgehog: Sonic’s Campfire Clash (77001), features a 177-piece build where Sonic must protect the Chaos Emerald from G.U.N. Beetle and G.U.N. Hunter while relaxing at a cozy campfire. Fans can launch Sonic in his signature speed sphere to defeat enemy robots, rescue Tocky and collect Gold Rings.
Additionally, LEGO is launching Sonic the Hedgehog: Super Shadow vs. Biolizard (77003), which tasks builders with defending the Space Colony ARK from the formidable Biolizard. Using Super Sonic, Super Shadow and the speed sphere launcher, fans can uncover Biolizard’s weak spots and retrieve the Chaos Emerald.
These releases follow other Sonic-themed sets introduced earlier in 2024, including the action-packed LEGO Super Sonic vs. Egg Drillster (76999). According to LEGO Designer Frédéric Roland Andre, the company is excited to bring fan-favorite characters and iconic Sonic moments to life. The new sets are set to launch via LEGO's official site on January 1, 2025, with prices ranging from $55 to $80 USD.
