Beyond Paradise leaves fans in tears after stunning Christmas special
In the latest gripping episode of Beyond Paradise, BBC viewers were left reaching for tissues as emotional scenes unfolded alongside a jaw-dropping revelation.
Humphrey Goodman, played by Kris Marshall, was back to solve another mysterious case in Shipton Abbott. Embracing his usual bumbling charm, he tackled the mystery surrounding eerie appearances at a widower's home. The grieving husband was tormented by ghostly visions of his recently deceased wife, urging him to leave their home.
After telling Humphrey his kids had encouraged him to stay in the house despite the big inheritance they would receive, he was on the case determined to find the culprit of the crimes.
At the same time, Martha Lloyd (Sally Bretton) tried to adjust after welcoming a teenage foster child into their home. As the episode progressed Humphrey’s was able to track down the culprit of the crimes after masterfully unpacking a series of clues, and his foster son was revealed to be tackling his own demons.

The scenes were dubbed as “brilliant” by fans who praised the tear-jerking episode.
“Loved #beyondparadise great reveal. I’m a mess” said one fan, accompanied by a crying gif. “Gonna go cry,” penned a second. More chimed in with praise for the episode, begging the BBC to keep the show alive.
“Don't ever change and #bbc renew this for another 10 series please", a third wrote.

Strictly Come Dancing star Seann Walsh also appeared in the episode as Bob Hollard's son-in-law, Colin, who was eventually nabbed for the crime. However, as viewers tuned in to watch the one-off special, they were thrilled to see Humphrey back on their screens.
