BBC Strictly Come Dancing final start and finish time as new champion set to be crowned

Strictly Come Dancing: The judges perform dance as they open show

Strictly Come Dancing is coming to an end after 13 weeks of competition in the famous ballroom. Following the exit of Pete Wicks and Jowita Przystał in last week's semi-final, the finalists are Tasha Ghouri and Aljaž Škorjanec, JB Gill and Lauren Oakley, Sarah Hadland and Vito Coppola and Chris McCausland and Dianne Buswell.

The four finalists will perform a trio of routines on Saturday night (December 14) in a bid to impress BBC viewers at home. While judges Anton Du Beke, Motsi Mabuse, Craig Revel Horwood, and Shirley Ballas will still score the finalists' dances, their scores are for guidance only and the winner lies entirely in the public's hands.

Presenters Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman will be back in the ballroom to oversee the grand finale as one couple lifts the coveted Glitterball Trophy.

But when is the Strictly Come Dancing final?

The last episode of the 2024 series will kick off on Saturday, December 14.

Unlike most weekends, there is no results show on Sunday, December 15, with the winner being announced after the public vote on Saturday night.

The final will be available to watch from 6pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer and will run for two hours and 35 minutes.

The series will end at 8.35pm when this year's winner has lifted the Glitterball Trophy and will be followed by Michael McIntyre's 25th Year Stand-Up Special.
