Bell & Ross Unveils the BR-05 Skeleton Arctic Blue Limited Edition
After releasing a refreshing BR-X5 timepiece with a luminous blue case, Bell & Ross returns with another cool-toned watch offering. Introducing the BR-05 Skeleton in Artic Blue, the reference arrives in a stainless steel case and intriguing openworked watch face.
Inspired by 1970s aesthetics, this design approach gives the BR-05 a distinctive, modern and graphic look. Measuring 40mm in case diameter, the reference features a striking blue-tinted glass plate dial, laser engraved with irregular lines that mimic the natural cracks found in ice plains.
Enhancing this frosty design, a white transfer is applied via pad printing, adding a delicate touch reminiscent of frost. The skeletonization technique strips away the unnecessary to reveal the essential mechanics, with the blue crystal and translucent inner bezel creating the illusion of a movement bathed in icy water.
The open dial, with its 12 fixed indexes, showcases a seamless blend of mechanical ingenuity and artistic flair. By removing the superfluous, the watch reveals its essential workings, enhancing its visual appeal. This design choice, coupled with the integrated case and bracelet, reflects Bell & Ross's commitment to creating watches that are not only functional but also aesthetically compelling.
It’s powered by the BR-CAL.322-1 automatic caliber, which ensures up to 54 hours of continuous running time. A limited edition of 250 examples, the BR-05 Skeleton Artic Blue is now available to shop via Bell & Ross’ online and offline boutiques. It’s priced at $7,700 USD on a rubber strap, while a stainless bracelet option retails for $8,200 USD.
