All lanes of Lai Chi Kok Road reopened

The Transport Department on Monday morning announced that all lanes of the Mong Kok-bound stretch of Lai Chi Kok Road near Butterly Valley Road had been reopened as of 3 am. A section of the road had been closed on Sunday morning after a water main burst, causing extensive flooding. The main burst shortly after midnight, sending large amounts of water into the road, and dramatic pictures widely shared online showed a taxi submerged in the water.
