Etihad signs interline agreements with five new carriers

Etihad Airways has expanded its interline partnerships with agreements signed with five new airlines.

The new deals are as follows:

Kam Air – customers can now connect at Abu Dhabi’s Zayed International Airport onto Kam Air’s flight to Kabul and onwards into Afghanistan SKY express – customers flying on Etihad’s twice daily flights to Athens can now connect onto the carrier’s 28 destinations across Greece and the Mediterranean islands Rex Airlines – customers flying into Etihad’s gateways in Sydney and Melbourne can now connect onto 22 destinations served by the Australian regional carrier including Adelaide, Hobart, Canberra, Brisbane, and the Gold Coast Jeju Air – customers travelling on Etihad’s flights to Seoul can now connect onto 27 destinations across seven countries served by the South Korean airline Myanmar Airways International – customers will now have “access to Yangon and Mandalay through Etihad’s gateways in South Asia”

The interline agreements enable customers to book their entire journey on a single ticket, and have their baggage checked through to the end destination.

In total Etihad now offers 123 interline, codeshare and strategic partnerships with airlines worldwide.

The carrier has also been gradually ramping up its A380 services, with the resumption of superjumbo flights to New York JFK last month, and A380 flights to Paris CDG set to return in November.
