Zara opened its largest flagship store in Mumbai near the iconic Flora Fountain. The 50,000sqft property costs a whooping 30 crores a year with a five-year lock in period. This was reportedly the largest overseas space-related transaction made by a high street brand. If you’re in town, drop by at the restored vintage space for a quick shopping exercise.

Anushka Sharma launched her line Nush, a project Sharma had in the pipeline for a while. Alia Bhatt invested in India’s first styling portal StyleCracker, positioning herself as an important player in the celebrity fashion space.

Riccardo Tisci

Fashion’s very own version of musical chairs continues to keep the audience on its toes with the guesswork. Riccardo Tisci parted ways with Givenchy after spending 12 years with the brand. Burberry released a statement that Christopher Bailey would be in a transitioning role and exit from the brand at the end of 2018. Bailey who has spent no less than 17 years with the luxury British label said that, “it has been a truly inspiring place to work and the decision to leave was not an easy one.” Phoebe Philo of French label Céline will also be making her exit from the label. Meanwhile Natacha Ramsay-Levi, who trained under Nicholas Ghesquière, made her debut at Chloé starting with resort 2018.

The open-for-interpretation dress code at the Met Ball made way for several interesting looks on the red carpet. Priyanka Chopra made her debut at the event in a dramatic trench dress by Ralph Lauren that earned her meme-level fame on the internet.
