Four-star quarterback Dakereon Joyner will not visit Alabama this weekend, as originally scheduled. The 2018 prospect from Fort Dorchester High School (North Charleston, S.C.) will not reschedule.
In fact, Joyner is done with visits before revealing his commitment on Father’s Day. South Carolina and N.C. State are the finalists.

Three-star wide receiver Dennis Smith told SEC Country on Thursday night that coaches from South Carolina are expected to stop by Gaffney High School on Friday.
The Gamecocks have also offered Smith’s teammate, 2019 cornerback Tyron Hopper.
Smith is ranked by the 247Sports as the No. 101 wide receiver in the Class of 2018. Earlier this week, he told Phil Kornblut that Muschamp and wide receivers coach Bryan McClendon communicate with him twice a week.
“I’m in contact with them a lot. They’re telling me I can come in and be an early factor for them,” Smith said. “In their situation, they really see me being the guy to help turn the program around and get it back to where they had it this year and keep it going.”Thompson checks on Dorian Gerald
Earlier this week, South Carolina defensive line coach Lance Thompson traveled to California to check on junior college defensive end Dorian Gerald.
The 6-foot-3, 250-pound prospect, who’s originally from Florence, S.C., said Thompson visited College of the Canyons to pick up an academic transcript.

Four-star (247Sports) running back Jonathan Sewell has a pair of Power 5 offers: South Carolina and Ole Miss. Charlotte has offered, too.
South Carolina running backs coach Bobby Bentley serves as the Gamecocks primary recruiter for the 2019 prospect from Clarke Central High School in Athens, Ga.
“He just sends me dates about when to come up there, when I can come up there. He’s asking me if I’m doing good,” Sewell said.
