The rapper/commentator and Atlanta hip-hop group have been at odds this year, most notably during the BET Awards back in June

Joe Budden has responded to Migos after they called Budden a “pussy” on one of their new songs.

Budden and Migos have clashed a number of times this year, with matters most notably coming to a head during a heated interview on the red carpet at the BET Awards back in June which saw Migos squaring up to Budden on camera.

Migos furthered their beef with Budden yesterday (December 6) by deliberately releasing a snippet from a new song – which is due to feature on a forthcoming compilation album from their label, Quality Control – which saw Quavo rapping “If a n**** hatin’ call him Joe Budden,” before Takeoff then adds “Pussy!”

Budden has responded to the jibe today (December 7) during his appearance on the Complex News talk show ‘Everyday Struggle’, claiming that he has “no problem with Quavious [Quavo’s full name]” but he believes “Quavious is hating on me”.

“What do you think the in-studio reaction was when Quavious stepped in to deliver this lyrical venom?” he asked the panel about the “pussy” line. “I do think that these gentlemen are calculated…  I do think that somebody over there recognises I’ve had a pretty decent year. This is attention-seeking.

“I just want to be very clear that “Mr. Irrelevant” himself has somehow found himself in a space where people I deem to be superstars are now using me and my platform to spread awareness – is that fair?”

“I have never heard Quavious [be] more audible and clear than that line,” he continued. “That is the clearest he has ever rapped! C’mon Quavious! He gonna mumble every damn thing and then want to sound like fucking Mr. College Harvard Lil Pump Professor Man when it get to the diss?

“Listen Quavo, I’m not gonna spend too much time on this,” Budden summarised. “I appreciate the shout-out. Pee, Coach K [Migos’ managers]: I have no issue with any of you gentlemen over there. I think y’all move the culture forward, I want y’all to continue to do that however the fuck you can. You feed a lot of people. Mumble, young man, mumble.”
