RAINS Is Suing Zara for Allegedly Copying Its Raincoat's Core Designs

Danish outerwear brand RAINS has become known for its clean, simple raincoats since it was founded in 2012. Now the brand is suing Zara's parent company, Inditex, for allegedly copying its classic raincoat design and passing it off as its own. The Danish brand are looking for a ruling that would force Zara to stop manufacturing the raincoats immediately, as well as compensation for loss of earnings. In a statement, RAINS cofounder Daniel Brix Hesselager said "Zara has copied some of our core products - classics - items which we have worked relentlessly on to help define our brand. We're talking about products that will not change from season to season. So this copying must stop immediately." The case is due to be heard at the Danish Court of Commerce and, considering the size of Zara, it looks like RAINS is going to be looking for a pretty big pay out from the world's biggest fashion company. Zara has found itself in controversy over its unoriginal designs more than once, with the brand recently being accused of ripping off famous sneaker designs including the Balenciaga Speed Trainer and adidas Originals NMD CS1 PK.Click here to view full gallery at Hypebeast.com

Twitter has all the answers for Trump's 'orb of doom' photo

"By touching this glowing orb, you hereby swear your eternal allegiance to the international Legion of Doom, got it?"  That's just one of the many theories that began swirling around social media on Sunday when Donald Trump appeared in photos clutching a mysterious, illuminated globe in a darkened room alongside Saudi Arabia's King Salman and Egypt's President Abdel Fatah al-Sissi.  SEE ALSO: Twitter's co-founder is totally sorry for helping Trump get elected Of course, the explanation behind the seemingly odd photo is far less nefarious: The orb is actually an installation at the Global Center for Combating Extremist Ideology in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, according to The Washington Post.  Read more...More about Twitter, Donald Trump, Trump, and Watercooler

Someone already made a Wikipedia page for 'Trump orb'

As we all know by now, the internet is quick to any and everything funny, weird, and downright confusing. We admire, and are maybe just a little bit frightened by, this fact.  President Donald Trump paid a visit to Saudi Arabia this weekend, the first stop on his first foreign trip as president. While there, he gave a highly-anticipated speech about Islam, and attended the opening ceremony of the Global Centre for Combating Extremist Ideology in Riyadh with Saudi Arabia's King Salman and Egypt's President Abdel Fatah al-Sissi. This ceremony involved touching a cool glowing orb.  Behold. This Ultimate Lightning McQueen robot is awesomely real

Pixar’s original Cars movie worked because you believed cars had feelings.  Anthropomorphized vehicles talking, fighting, falling in love. It all clicked because of Pixar’s animation prowess and the voice talents of people like Owen Wilson.  That magic, though, doesn’t always translate to the real world. Toys built around these movies are generally disappointing because they can’t capture the personality and emotion of the original characters. SEE ALSO: BB-8 will now watch 'Rogue One' alongside you Sphero’s Ultimate Lighting McQueen animatronic toy car may be that breakthrough product. It gets virtually every detail right (at nearly $300, it should) and is instantly captivating. Read more...More about Movies, Cars, Robots, Toys, and Robot

SEE ALSO: Fox News retracts Seth Rich story — but continues to push the conspiracy theory Apparently, not discussing the matter means immediately going on Twitter and hitting Kim Dotcom with an OMG.  Then he posted a tweet with lots of caps, so you know to take it seriously.  Ok TO BE CLEAR, I am closer to the TRUTH than ever. Not only am I not stopping, I am working harder. Updates when available. Stay tuned! — Sean Hannity (@seanhannity) May 24, 2017 Read more...
